AICE Media Studies

What did you do during the filming process, what did you encounter? I started filming on Thursday the 29th, and I decided to shoot my first shot. I'm the director so the materials were brought to the first scene by me. The first scene was shot in my backyard, which was crowded with animals. I used Jump ropes and my main product a Degree Antiperspirant bottle. In the filming process we got interrupted by ducks, which we fed some bread. My first actor was prepared to complete all task needed in time that we had. I first filmed a Low angle shot of the physical activity being presented. I took multiple shots to meet the 30 second criteria. I then had my second scene shot in the front of my house. On the main road where cars are flying I tried to get a time where there are no cars. I filmed a tilt and pan shot of one of my actors demonstrating a physical activity.   

 

Props Since I decided I was going to be conducting a Degree commercial, My main prop will be a Degree Antiperspirant bottle. Other props will include bouncy balls, bikes, and a jump rope Costumes In my commercial I will have one of my sisters ride her bike down the street. One of my sisters will be jump roping, and the other two will be throwing/juggling two balls back-in-forth. While everyone will be wearing athletic clothing Location list Due to our current predicament my main location will be my home. I will film from my pool area, where I will demonstrate the need of freshness when you're being active My front yard will be another location where I film my bike ride and jogging scene.

Research: Commercial Conventions I have decided that I am going to do a Degree Antiperspirant commercial. In these commercial, the audience usually sees people doing all types of physical activity while also viewing different circumstances when the product is needed.  They wear costumes such as their basketball shoes, shorts, tights, long compression shirts, and etc Props include Jump ropes, bikes, towels, water bottles, game controller, and etc Their appearance is usually fit, and sweaty, with added glisten to their skin as their performing The score through the commercials are fast-paced sounds that are meant to make the audience feel motivated and empowered to be active Conventions in Degree commercials include symbolic check marks throughout and the image of someone running as the symbol idolizes, while ending with the infamous slogan "Freshness activated when you move" The commercial can sometimes include ethos- showing multiple quick second flicks of individuals being a

 Hi my name is Joseph Scott and I'm in the 10th grade. I started taking AICE Media Studies because last year I was in Theatre & Film. A class in which I loved and had a great teacher. I've always wanted to be apart of some type of production and understand how movies come out to be great. Some of my favorite movie series are High school musical, Fast & Furious, Step up, Madagascar, Cars, and Home Alone. Some of my favorite TV show series are Vampire Diaries, Teen Titans, and anything generated by The CW. I don't know if by the end of this course I'll further into the depths of media studies or if I'll take this as one of my majors. I've always been good with editing videos on apps and getting get pictures so its safe to say I'm intrigued to see how this year will go for me. I'm focused on the progress and improvement of my filming skills to better my content. Even while the COVID-19 pandemic is still going on I'm mad about how my freshman yea
